Debbie Moore

Six feet tall and thin as a rail, Debbie Moore led a quasi-sexual group called the Xplicit Players, composed mostly of her, Bob, Marty, and Nina, who for practical purposes were all in a communal marriage together. They led naked protests such as the "Breast Freedom Parade" and put on a performance-art event called the Tour of Touch, where they convinced the audience members to get naked and engage in "playful, childlike touch" with each other and her group. Debbie was very ethereal and would write stories about new human societies with no hierarchy or inequality, but I soon discovered that her attempts to involve "acolytes" in her group were strongly hierarchical and it even functioned in many ways like a cult. To top it off, she had a rival group to contend with -- the Sherotic Players, led by one Frank Moore, former husband of hers [and a quadriplegic; I never understood how his group worked around this].
